Gladiators celebrate season
A SEASON that produced some great highlights including finals’ appearances was celebrated at the Mareeba Gladiators presentation night on Saturday.
A SEASON that produced some great highlights including finals’ appearances was celebrated at the Mareeba Gladiators presentation night on Saturday.
Players and coaches attending the function spoke about “finding brotherhood” and getting through tough times together this season.
Some of the highlights of the season was A Grade beating Brothers for first time in 19 years and making it to Minor Semi Final, while Reserve Grade enjoyed its first final appearance in 13 years, making it to the Major Semi Final round.
The Under 19s was also celebrated, falling just one win short of finals.
Ryan Flegler was named Gladiator of the Year and joined the event via Facetime to accept his award and thank the club.
