Frock it like it’s hot
MAREEBA locals are invited to get colourful, get creative and get frocked up for Frock It Like It’s Hot, a fun and meaningful community event celebrating “Froctober” and supporting ovarian cancer research.

Taking place on Thursday 29 October, from 10am at the Mareeba Community Centre, the event welcomes everyone to come together in support of an important cause.
Guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the day by wearing wild, colourful and fabulous outfits of all shapes, styles and sizes. Whether it’s a bold frock, a bright shirt, a creative costume or something completely out of the ordinary, everyone is encouraged to join in the fun and express themselves.
The event will feature guest speaker Amy Braes, who will share her insights as part of this special occasion, bringing the community together to raise awareness and show support for ovarian cancer research.
Entry is by gold coin donation, with all money raised being donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation to support vital ovarian cancer research. Attendees are also invited to bring a small plate to share as everyone enjoys a morning of connection, conversation and community spirit.
“Froctober” is all about coming together, raising awareness and supporting ovarian cancer research, and Frock It Like It’s Hot is the perfect opportunity for the Mareeba community to show its colours.
