Bulls reflect on good year
THE Mareeba United Football Club reflected on a successful year at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) last week, with over 25 club members turning out for a positive and productive evening.

Club president Angelo Tatti opened the meeting with his President’s Report, reflecting on what has been a highly successful year for the club both on and off the field.
Tatti expressed pride in the club’s achievements and the dedication of its members, players, and volunteers throughout the season.
“We’re incredibly proud of the progress the club has made, both on and off the field,” he said.
“Having such strong member support and a passionate team behind the scenes gives us great confidence heading into 2026.”
Senior vice president Joe Marinelli and junior vice president Ross Malfitana agreed with Tatti’s observations, saying the Bulls experienced great growth in 2025 and had strong community spirit within its walls.
Treasurer Giulie Alderton reassured that the club remained in a healthy financial position when presenting the club’s financial report, even with significant upgrades taking place, such as the construction of two new dressing rooms and the refurbishment of the referees’ room and male and female toilets.
Following the presentation of reports, all committee positions were declared vacant. Former club president Alex Srhoj officiated the nomination process for the 2026 season and all executive and major roles were filled at first call, indicating strong commitment within the club’s membership.
The Mareeba United Football Club Executive for 2026 will remain consistent, with Angelo Tatti staying on as president, Joe Marinelli as senior vice president, Ross Malfitana as junior vice president, Giulie Alderton continuing in her role as treasurer, and Shannon Swale as secretary.
A host of former and current players also stepped forward to fill various roles in the club and working committee.
President Tatti thanked all the members for their ongoing support and enthusiasm, noting that the stability of the committee will help drive further success and growth into the 2026 season and beyond.
